Located between Serra da Estrela and Serra da Gardunha, The Bakery Guesthouse is a reinterpretation of the traditional architecture of the Beira Baixa region of the mid-20th century, in a small village near Fundão, where it was once a small community bakery and , now transformed into a space that confers everything you need for a few days of rest, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The wood oven was essential in the annexes of the house, as it was there that bread was baked and subsequently sold to the surrounding populations - a fundamental part of food, alongside wine and olive oil.

The bread served with everything and served as a meal accompanied only by olives, cheese, bacon, chorizo or just soaked in olive oil. Many times it was eaten even without accompaniment, depending on the economic availability of the families.
